Athletic Weekly 3-23 – 3-28
Spring officially arrives Friday at 10:46 a.m.—what a relief!
That said, the weather roller coaster is far from over. The first days, weeks…sometimes even months of spring can make spring sports unpredictable. Please keep a close eye on our online schedules, as we will do our best to keep them updated while managing several variables, including weather, field conditions, and participation at other schools.
I’m happy to report that participation numbers at the high school level are strong here at Kent City. Our student-athletes have been practicing consistently for nearly two weeks, and as an athletic department, we’ve been emphasizing one key theme: commitment.
With the nature of spring sports—and the end of the school year quickly approaching—it can be easy to lose focus. Not this year. We are committed to excellence and building on the success our teams have achieved throughout the fall and winter seasons.
Since this is a pre-spring break edition of the Weekly, it will be an abbreviated version. If you were unable to attend Wednesday’s Spring Sports Parent Meeting, the documents were shared with you via email. Thanks to all those who made it to the meeting!
